Our Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) courses are for people with a native language other than Swedish. You will learn to listen, speak, read and write Swedish so that you can use it at work and on a day-to-day basis. We always work based on you and your needs and opportunities when we structure your studies. How long you need to study and which courses you need to take depend on how long you have studied in your native country.
At Tora Vega SFI Staffanstorp, we have 3 different study paths
Study path 1
You have a short educational background, so you take courses A, B, C and D.
Study path 2
You have studied for more than six years, so you take courses B, C and D.
Study path 3
You have studied at a university in your native country, so you take courses C and D.
The courses
We can help you to find the right course when you arrive at the college.

New National Regulations from January 2026
From 1 January 2026, new SFI regulations will apply. Under the new rules, you can study SFI for a total maximum of three years. The rules also apply to those who studied SFI before 1 January 2026, even if they are not currently studying SFI. Therefore, it is important that you plan your studies and complete SFI within three years.
